Why would you ever make a comparison like that? That's like comparing "laptop OS" versus "desktop OS". They're the same thing. Doesn't make a difference what device it's on, it's still the same OS. Is is that tough for you to understand?

Laptops and desktops run the same exact OS. There are no apps that are made specifically for a laptop or desktop. There are iphone apps that wont run on an ipod touch. There are ipad apps that wont run on an ipod touch or an iphone. If they were the same OS then that wouldnt happen.

Give me ONE compelling reason why you would ever compare just the phones segment.

Because it's common sense.

But some people should keep in mind that it's entirely possible to love a company's products while not liking part or all of the actual company or how they operate on given occasions.

It's very easy for some here to just throw out the term troll and hater just because someone isn't accepting of Apple's PR, etc.

Your point is quite valid, but this is specifically directed at Full of Win who has a long history of making anti-Apple comments here. It's certainly true that he might like their products and hate the company that makes it. His comments are so over the top, so factually slanted, that he gets criticized for it.

Either he is sincere, in which he might take the advice to heart. Or he is trolling, in which case he is already doing precisely what he set out to do, in which case nothing will change.

It's not. Risky male to female sex is also excluded (sleeping with anyone involved in the sex industry). It's a question of exposure to mixing blood, and thus communicating disease. Statistically, Male to Male sex increases that risk. Also, if it was a homophobic policy female to female sex would be deemed a risk factor, but it's not, as it does not carry elevated risk. And to clarify, I'm not saying elevated means high - I'm saying it means higher.

Not really.

The terms with FT are that if you want to use their service you must provide them with the information. Then you can choose what you allow them to do with this information.

If Apple does not want to allow FT to work that way they are effectively saying they don't want to do business with FT. And this is why FT is "holding out."

Apple doesn't like the T&C's of FT.
FT does not like the T&C's of Apple.

So they are choosing not to do business with each other. Happens all the time.

Apple users are the only ones that lose here.

I really hope that they will still push out the iPhone 5 in June despite all the rumors that it will be postponed to September.

That's what I'm hoping too for when my 3GS contract expires this summer.

But a white iPhone 4? No thanks Apple.

Not really.. If you watched Steve Jobs' interviews, you should have gotten a different conclusion... Steve quoted Picasso as saying: "Good artists borrow, great artists steal..."

My conclusion is that Apple stole a lot of ideas... And I mean A LOT... But you know what, they took those ideas and made them more user-friendly, higher quality, pretty much all the pros that go along with any Apple product...

That's why I said in an earlier post that patents like that are ridiculous... It should be open for everyone and may the best company win...

That's also why we always learn about Thomas Edison and not Nikola Tesla. :cool:

arnApr 7, 12:59 PMThe thing is, all these games are available for free online for your mac. I suppose if you want to play them on your ipad or phone that's one thing. If that doesn't matter, you can get your nostalgia for free. Same goes for NES, Coleco, Super NES, and Genesis emulators.

They may be available for free, but that doesn't really mean they are available legally. :)

so is it ok to disconnect when it says "ok to disconnect"

or do i have to wait for the meter thing to fill?

this isnt even a big issue its just sort of a pet peeve that i have, for the record i usually just wait the 5 seconds for the meter to fill. its just weird that it tells me its ok before the meter starts.
