You could try Openoffice.org for Mac. It's basically very like Microsoft Office only Openoffice.org is free.

Hyundai will never consider the 2.4-liter I-4 engine for the European market for one reason: many European countries impose an excise tax based on engine displacement, and 2.4 liters will get hit with a pretty steep excise tax for European sales. That's why the Honda Accords sold in Europe use a 2.0-liter petrol engine, not the K24 2.4-liter engine found on US-market Accords.

A more likely solution for European sales--especially with the availability of higher-octane petrol there--would be a turbocharged version of the 1.6-liter GDI engine, which would bump the horsepower to around 175-180 bhp.

Same goes for Foxconn, who without Apple's contract, would not have the resources to hire the thousands of Chinese people to give them even the meager salaries they do receive.

I don't know where you people live, but I hear all the time from people on here acting like At&t is SO HORRIBLE. I live in the midwest and I never have any problems with At&t...full service everywhere I go and rarely any dropped calls. I've had them all, Verizon (which completely blows), sprint, nextel etc.... At&t has the best service...

I basically confronted him on it (this was in front of the Principal, who was attending the presentation) and told him straight out that he was wrong. His argument was the typical, "Macs aren't Windows, they can't be used in a network because they are insecure" argument. I told him he was wrong. And he stopped.

They only have as much power as you give them.



baxterbrittleOct 25, 11:45 AMOS X Server unlimited client is quite expensive by itself, add that to a MacPro and see what the price diff for xserve is. How much is server 2003 unlimited these days, still pretty pricy if I understand correctly and that does not come with your backyard barebones.

Also there was something about lights out management (which I know nothing about) added to the cost of the dell in the WWDC comarison.

In other words hardware is one thing but the big picture needs to be looked at more carefully.

Also 1/5 of the cost? I'd like to see some figures. I can't even get 1 xeon for that let alone 2.
