Mad Mac ManiacApr 11, 10:26 PMFor the last time.... it's not coming out this year.
iPad = spring
iPhone = summer
iPod = fall
Once a year cycle. Stupid source.
hmmm how do you explain the strong rumors of the iPhone 5 not coming out till fall? or possibly even winter? no cycle is perfect and stays unchanged

amateurmacfreakOct 19, 05:30 PManyone wonder if google will google is planning to eat apple?
I love Google as much as I love Apple. A very, very close relationship between them wouldn't be bad at all in my mind.

TtownbeastAug 5, 11:38 PMWow, I love Rogue. I don't think I have had one from them I didn't like. I'm also a fan of New Belgium. Normally, I'm a stout and porter kind of guy, but sometimes it's good to enjoy a good Rogue Dead Guy or Fat Tire.
I really hate my state's stupid beer laws. The cap on beer is 5%, which cuts out a lot of great beers. Thankfully, I have friends and relatives in other states where I can get said beers. :)
What good is a state where you cant crack open an Old English for your dead homies? sad very sad

nbwApr 22, 12:10 PMI'm not a thrifty person by nature, so it says plenty that I refuse to pay the prices they're asking for these mags on the iPad. It really is that simple. Make them $1.99 and sales will go through the roof.
Yea, the value for the price is not there. You can get the paper version of Wired for $10/yr via Amazon. Why would you pay the crazy prices for the digital version, if anything it should be even cheaper.
It's not Conde Nast being smarter its Conde Nast not knowing how to execute a digital strategy that works.

OzyOlyApr 21, 08:10 PMthey even tracking iphone locations now!
They don't use that information, it's just on your phone and in back ups. I'm sure now people have kicked up a fuss about it, they will do something to encrypt or remove that file. It's hardly on the same scale as google recording data from unsecure wi-fi networks in people's homes, using their mapping vans.

Bye Bye BabyOct 15, 03:23 AMHey thanks for that. even though I live near Christ Church. It soulnds tricky- but I'll get there!!! Do they do tax exempt for non-Brits. Just in case you know off the top of your head!!!
Thanks
Unfortunately there is no Apple Store, though there are three Starbucks. But if you need help (or to know you are not the only macuser in Oxford) there is a pretty good, hole-in-the-wall Apple education dealer/reseller in Headington. Address: 19 Old High Street. Absolute Computers is just off the high street (London Road) towards old Headington: go back beside Summerfields supermarket and it is above the audio shop - staircase is in the rear by the dumpsters in the Summerfield car park. Proprietor's name is Mike. They set our charity up with our first video editing system in 1998. There is also an Oxford MacUser group that meets once in awhile. They have a Yahoo Group, oxmacug@yahoogroups.com.

diablojotaJul 12, 04:34 PMThe Mac mini and iMac are in dire need of an update. The Mini doesn't really need a speed boost either. Just drop the price to $499 Solo and $599 Duo.
What would you do to update them, then? What is there to update? Add another USB 2.0 slot? Dire need for nothing. As long as they are selling, there won't be a change, not until the new processors start rolling out come september - december.

cgcDec 2, 03:14 PMOnly one problem with their people tracker system: a person can only be tracked while they are wearing their Nike running shoes. I run and I, like many other runners, only wear my running shoes while I run. They live in the closet otherwise.
To reiterate what others have said, they are making nothing into something to gain attention.

NT1440Jul 15, 08:53 PMSteve still doesn't get it does he?
I would rather he own up to a mistake rather than insult people's intelligence
Somehow I doubt they aren't going to acknowledge a flaw tomorrow....

Ironic the way the pics are sized, as the left one is my main 22inch monitor, and the right is my 13inch mbp monitor. LoL.
Road to Miss Universe 2011:
BenRoethigOct 25, 10:53 AMXserve lags so far behind the Mac Pro in release, costs much more, has little to make it better and just as much to make it worse. I would love to have an Xserve, but I don't understand why anyone would buy one.
It's a called a server. It's for serving networks.
Anyway, the updated scheme for the Apple Store looks nice.

dmw007Oct 14, 06:50 AMNo, they decided to release XP SP3 ...they just decided to rename it to Vista.
LOL :D I think that your summary is quite accurate zweigand. :D :)

ten-oak-druidApr 6, 11:11 AMI cannot get outlook off of my computer. I deleted everything I can think of but once in a while when my computer has a problem, when I restart there are recovered items in the trash and one is always an outlook file of some sort.
MISS KOSOVO UNIVERSE 2011,
Mac'nCheeseApr 12, 09:32 PMEven if your assertion is true, did you notice that the keyword in your post is "encouraged" and not "outlawed".
If France merely "encouraged" Muslim women to forgo the veil and burqa, I think there's very little I would say against such encouragement.
I don't need to source something that is common knowledge. And did you notice the quotes? Means they did a bit more then just kind of asked.... Do u really think a woman walking around most Muslim countries in shorts and a cut off tee shirt are safe?
eightball0Aug 2, 05:58 PMThe site appears to be down. Anyone have a cached copy of the post?
fiercetiger224Mar 28, 09:41 AMNow thats an angry comment if ever i saw one.
Atom Bomb sized moan there!
HAHA true dat! Sorry I got a little angry. Okay I lied. I got very angry. :D
Maybe...I'm not getting a 360 anytime soon anymore...I just realized that Microsoft is even more greedy for our money than ever! I'm not buying into their little game... :rolleyes:
keruahMay 4, 01:25 PMUm, so my girlfriend and I have both have the iPhone 3G. We have the same tracking issue by virtue of being on iOS 4.x - but at the current highest OS level for this model, 4.2.1, we don't get a "fix?"
password protect your iphone backups, that's all
migsevApr 29, 09:36 AMHere's hoping Apple actually does something about this.
cfountain72Aug 7, 10:10 PMObviously, a lot of others noticed what I did. I know Steve has a lot going on, what with running two companies and now being the biggest shareholder of a third, on top of being a cancer survivor. But I agree he did not look all that healthy today. I have been watching his Keynotes for several years, but between the ragged beard and his gaunt physique, he did not look well. He also relied on "help" today for a greater part of the presentation than is typical.
I'd like to hear your opinions, and hopefully you'll convince me I am wrong.
Thanks,
Chris
